Gwelanmor Internet is the name that is used by Julia McClelland, a freelance web designer who specialise in producing clean, modern websites which comply with current web standards and which work effectively in all modern browsers. Initially the business was run by my husband (Bob McClelland) and I, but sadly he passed away in November 2014.

I have been involved in professional computing for more than years and have years experience in web page design and implementation. I have produced a number of original designs for many satisfied clients. [*] An apparent simplicity overlaying an often complex structure delivers the information the client wishes to convey.

Gwelanmor-internet uses responsive design, so your site will be viewable on any size of screen, including phones.

Since my retirement - in 2010 - I have concentrated entirely on web sites for non-profit organisations. This work is voluntary.

The name “ Gwel-an-Mor” means ' a view of the sea' . Similar distant horizons are the equivalent of the ' wide open' approach which is adopted in achieving innovative designs using the latest technology.

[*] Please note that Gwelanmor Internet is not accepting any new work at this time.

Gwelanmor Internet supports the philosophy of design wherein less is considered to be more. This approach was made famous by Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe (1886-1969) in the Modern movement of the 1930's.

This is basically a 'minimalist' approach, in which excessive decoration is avoided in order to concentrate on content, presented cleanly, whilst retaining a strong sense of formal relationships and balanced design.

In addition, at Gwelanmor Internet I strive to maintain support for, and compatibility with, all the browsers and systems likely to be encountered by users.
